Congratulations to the Shuma Sports Player of the Week, Mill Creek’s Sara Grieco, who is a member of the varsity lacrosse team! Sara is a senior at Mill Creek where she is competing for the varsity lacrosse team under the direction of coach Brian Williamson.

Sara has been a starter for Mill Creek’s varsity lacrosse team since her freshman year. She has been named 1st team all-county several times and last year she was named a Georgia All State player. This season the team has only played 10 games so far, but Sara has already scored 35 goals, has 16 assists, and 50 draw controls. On March 25, Sara scored six goals when Mill Creek defeated Brookwood. When Sara is not playing lacrosse herself, she is a youth lacrosse official.

Coach Williamson said that Sara is a great leader and that her personality is naturally quiet. Coach Williamson also mentioned that around Mill Creek she is known as the girl with “amazing stick control”.
