Congrats to Mountain View High School‘s, Andru Ross, for being the Gwinnett Sports Commission player of the week!

Andru is a senior captain on the Bears’ varsity lacrosse team, where he plays a variety of positions due to his extensive lacrosse knowledge and experience. His on the field accomplishments reflect his selfless play, as he continues to have more assists than goals each season. On Monday he scored 5 goals and had 6 assists in Mountain View’s win over Norcross. A couple of Andru’s most notable accolades came when he was selected to represent Georgia in the Brine All-American National Lacrosse Classic and the Blue Chip Southeast Showcase this past summer. Andru has committed to The University of Montevallo where he will continue his academic and athletic career.

Outside of lacrosse, Andru takes AP level classes at school, is a Red Cross volunteer, Life Guard certified, and has volunteered with the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Andru, you’re an impressive young man and we know you’ll do well at Montevallo next year. Best of luck to you!
