Congrats to Mountain View‘s, Malachi Carter, for being the Gwinnett Sports Commission player of the week!
Malachi is a senior and Gwinnett’s reigning wide receiver of the year on the Bears’ football team. He recently had nine receptions for an astounding 220 yards with two touchdowns in a huge last-second victory over a rival team.
Malachi is a phenomenal athlete and humanitarian. Many do not know that he has been a key member in the Cure Childhood Cancer and Touchdowns Against Cancer fundraisers at Mountain View.
Georgia Tech is where Malachi will call home next year. He accepted an offer, in September, to play for them and continue his education there. Coach Bach of Mountain View recently told the GDP, “It was a great decision for Malachi. It’s great for Malachi because he’s close. He can be around family. I can watch him play. His family can watch him, cheer him on. And he earned it. He’s a hard worker. He got here by hard work.”
Malachi, we are so proud of you and excited to watch you play for Tech next year. We wish you the best of luck!
