Chris Bottomley brings extensive sales experience and knowledge of golf industry to position.

May 31, 2016 (DULUTH, Ga.) – The Mitsubishi Electric Classic, played at TPC Sugarloaf, today announced the hiring of Chris Bottomley as the new sales manager for the tournament. Bottomley officially starts with the Mitsubishi Electric Classic on Tuesday, May 31.
Gwinnett Sports Commission executive director, Stan Hall, stated, “After a thorough process, in which we looked at some great and qualified candidates, I am proud to announce that we have filled the position of sales manager for the Mitsubishi Electric Classic with Chris Bottomley.”
Bottomley comes to the Mitsubishi Electric Classic from Atlanta National Golf Club where he was their membership director. In addition, he has over 15 years of experience in sales, mostly with RS Medical where he served as regional sales manager. During his time with RS Medical, he was recognized for his sales efforts as a President’s Club recipient. He is also a former golf professional and was twice recognized as PGA Professional of the Year. His most recent position as a PGA professional was with West Lake Country Club in Augusta, Ga. He attended Georgia Southern University where he was a member of the university’s golf team.
Tournament director, Elissa Dooman, added, “We are excited about having Chris join our team. His extensive sales background and network of contacts will fit in nicely with our sales initiatives for this tournament.”
Hall further stated, “We look forward to great things to come with our tournament’s sales efforts under the direction of Chris. He brings a great deal of experience concerning his overall knowledge of golf as well as many successful years in sales. This is a great combination that should provide tremendous benefit for our event as this position is such an integral part of the overall success of a professional golf tournament.”
