Gwinnett County (METRO ATLANTA) GA – [April 10, 2019] – Recognized as a leading organization, the Georgia Swarm Pro Lacrosse Team has been designated as a finalist in the “Hospitality” category for the IMPACT Regional Business Awards.

 

Hosted by the Gwinnett Chamber, the program pays tribute to premier organizations in top industries that are driving economic development and job creation, while enhancing our quality of life.

 

“It’s a privilege to be honored as a finalist for the Impact Awards for a fourth-straight year,” Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. “We’ve made large strides in Georgia this past year with our average game attendance increasing by 45% and our 12-4 record. The Gwinnett Chamber recognizing us again is a sign that our entire organization’s efforts have not gone unnoticed.”

An overall IMPACT Regional Business Awards recipient will be selected from one of the above category winners.

About the Georgia Swarm:
The Georgia Swarm Pro Lacrosse team is a member of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), which is North America’s professional indoor lacrosse league featuring the best players in the world. In 2017, the Swarm became NLL World Champions after a historic 17-5 season. Founded in 1986, the NLL ranks third in average attendance for professional indoor sports worldwide behind only the NHL and NBA. The league is comprised of 11 franchises across the U.S. and Canada and the 2018-19 NLL season will mark the league’s 34th year. The Swarm competes in an 18-game regular season schedule from December to April, followed by the NLL Playoffs in May and June. The Swarm plays their home games at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Field at Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Ga.
