LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia Gwinnett College men’s tennis team opened April with a 9-0 home victory against SCAD Atlanta on Saturday afternoon at the GGC Tennis Facility.

GGC (20-0) won 16 of the 22 games in doubles action with the tandem of senior Ayed Zatar/sophomore Federico Bonacia winning 8-5 at the top of lineup. The team of senior Rafael Coutinho/sophomore Valentino Caratini won eight of nine games on the No. 2 court.

In singles, the Grizzlies won the four matches in straight sets. Junior Federico Herrera Duran earned a 6-3, 6-4 victory on the No. 1 court. Freshman Jose Dugo picked up a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at No. 2 singles. Junior Mika Kosonen won all 12 games on the No. 3 court and freshman Daniel Czepielewski rounded out the winners with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles.

Saturday’s victory marked the program’s 102nd consecutive victory.
