Gwinnett County, GA — The local sports calendar gained a thrilling new addition in 2025 with the debut of the High Line Criterium, an exciting, urban bike race presented by the Gwinnett Sports Commission. Set against the backdrop of the City of Suwanee’s newest park, Town Center on Main, the inaugural event delivered high-speed action, community engagement, and a fresh boost to cycling in one of metro Atlanta’s fastest-growing regions.

Held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the first edition of the High Line Criterium presented by the Gwinnett Sports Commission showcased amateur and professional cyclists from across the United States and around the world as part of a regional cycling tour: Speed Week. The male and female athletes competed on a closed-circuit course in the heart of Suwanee, Georgia that was highlighted by tight corners and straightaways built for speed.

Town Center on Main’s signature pedestrian bridge provided spectators with both one-of-a-kind views and opportunities to get as close to the action as possible. Coupled with the local food vendors at Suwanee Circle and numerous nearby family-friendly activities, the venue highlighted the best of Gwinnett County’s vibrant, active, and inclusive spirit.

Cycling fans and curious newcomers alike are encouraged to attend future iterations of the event, which organizers hope will become a fixture both in the local community and on the Speed Week calendar. With strong support from local leaders and the cycling community, the High Line Criterium aims to put Gwinnett County, Georgia on the map as a premier destination for elite competitive cycling.
