LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Four Georgia Gwinnett College softball players have received NAIA All-America postseason honors following their performances in the 2019 season, the national office announced on Tuesday, June 4.

Senior Aubree Cox earned second-team accolades as an at-large outfielder, while senior pitcher Taylor Hansis, junior outfielder RaeQuinn Rossetti and sophomore utility player Piper Wagner were honorable-mention selections.

GGC made its deepest postseason run in program history with a trip to the semifinals of the NAIA World Series. The team won 45 games and reached the World Series for the second consecutive season.

Cox was named the 2019 Association of Independent Institutions Player of the Year and ended the season with a .365 batting average, 43 RBI and 39 runs scored. The Rutledge, Ga., native legged out five triples and connected on four home runs.

Hansis won a single-season school record 28 games and recorded 201 strikeouts in 2019. The Longs, S.C., native earned the A.I.I. Pitcher of the Year award for the third consecutive season. She holds the program’s career record for wins (77) and strikeouts (583). Hansis earned second NAIA All-America team accolades in 2018.

Rossetti led GGC with a .403 batting average, 71 hits, 54 runs scored and 42 stolen bases. She has batted over .400 during all three of her collegiate seasons. The Greenville, Ga., native was also a first All-A.I.I. team selection.

Wagner was a dual threat at the plate and on the mound for the Grizzlies. The Marietta, Ga., native had a .362 batting average with 12 doubles and five home runs. She also posted a 10-2 record, with six shutouts, in the pitching circle to earn honorable mention All-America accolades for the second straight season.

GGC has had 11 NAIA softball All-Americans, including multiple selections during each of the last three seasons.
