LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia Gwinnett College women’s tennis team improved to 11-0 on the season after picking up a 9-0 home victory against McPherson College (Kan.) on Wednesday afternoon at the GGC Tennis Facility.
The Grizzlies, ranked No. 1 in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, won all 16 games during the doubles portion of the match to grab an early 3-0 lead in the match. Junior Emerald Able teamed with sophomore Madeline Bosnjak for a win on the No. 1 court, while seniors Maria Prados Cid and Henar Munoz combined for a victory at No. 2 doubles.
In singles, Bosnjak won by identical 6-1 set scores on the No. 1 court. Able won all 12 games at No. 2 singles to secure the team’s fifth point of the match. Munoz picked up a 6-0, 6-2 triumph on the No. 3 court and Prados Cid won by identical 6-1 set scores at No. 4 singles.
Rounding out the winners was junior Gabrielle Robinson, who won all 12 games on the No. 5 court.
