LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Gwinnett Stripers will unveil a new Hispanic-inspired name, logo, and uniform to be worn for four 2019 “Copa de la Diversión” games on Monday, March 18. Media outlets are invited to attend a 12:30 p.m. lunch, followed by a press conference at 1:00 p.m.
WHAT: The Gwinnett Stripers are one of 72 teams participating in Minor League Baseball’s “Copa de la Diversión” initiative for Hispanic fan engagement. The club will adopt a Hispanic-inspired identity for four Thursday 7:05 p.m. games in 2019: May 23, June 6, August 1, and August 15.
WHEN: Monday, March 18. Lunch, provided by El Real Authentic Mexican Grill of Lawrenceville, begins at 12:30 p.m. The press conference will follow at 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: Suite Lounge and Bar at Coolray Field, located at 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville.
WHO: Stripers Vice President and General Manager Adam English will make opening remarks in English. A representative from the Georgia Hispanic Chamber will make remarks in English and Spanish. Both will then be available for interview. A real-life mascot will also be on hand for photo opportunities.
PARKING/ENTRY: Please park in Lot A and enter through the Main Gate at the front of the ballpark. Proceed to the Suite Lounge and Bar on the third floor.
