Congrats to Wesleyan‘s, Cassie Henning, for being the Gwinnett Sports Commission player of the week!

Cassie, a senior pitcher and third baseman on the Lady Wolves team, is the career leader in innings pitched, wins, and strikeouts. Coach Stephenson said, “she’s been the rock of our program and is having a great season hitting .391 with 8 doubles and 2 homeruns.” On the mound, Cassie is sporting a 10-4 record and has recorded 8- strikeouts.  After high school, Cassie will continue her athletic and academic career at Georgetown University.

Cassie is also a peer leader at Wesleyan, a SALSA (student advocating life without substance abuse), and served on a mission trip in Jamaica last spring break where her team built a playground for local school children.

We’re so proud of you, Cassie and know that your teammates, coaches, and parents are as well. We wish you the best of luck next year.
