Congrats to quarterback, Cameron Turley of Mill Creek High School, for being named the Gwinnett Sports Commission player of the week!
Cameron is having a record breaking season for the Hawks. This past Friday night against Peachtree Ridge, he led Mill Creek to an 8-0 record, 4-0 in the region, by passing for 349 yards (a school record) and 4 touchdowns (tying the school record), including two 60 yard passes and a 40 yard pass. He now has 37 TD passes in his career (also a school career record). This season he has passed for 1607 yards and 18 touchdowns and has only had 2 interceptions.
Cameron’s abilities go further than statistics, however. He currently has a 3.85 GPA and is a quiet leader who lifts everyone up around him. An outstanding two sport athlete, Cameron has verbally committed to play baseball at Georgia Tech next year.
