Gwinnett County has them all!

Gwinnett is home to two of metro Atlanta’s premier baseball and hockey minor league teams, the AAA Gwinnett Stripers and the ECHL Atlanta Gladiators. The Georgia Swarm, a professional indoor lacrosse team, and the Atlanta Vibe, a professional volleyball team, call Gwinnett home, as well as six NAIA collegiate teams from Georgia Gwinnett College.

The Gwinnett Stripers, an Atlanta Braves affiliate, play at Coolray Field and are a part of the International League South Division.

The Atlanta Gladiators are a minor league hockey team that plays in the South Division of the ECHL Eastern Conference and are affiliated with the Nashville Predators. The Gladiators have been Atlanta’s only professional hockey team since the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg in 2011, and thrills the crowds at Gas South Arena during home games.

The Atlanta Vibe is the new women’s pro volleyball team and is a part of Pro Volleyball Federation. They began their inaugural season in January of 2024 and call the Gas South Arena home.

The Georgia Swarm are part of the Eastern Division of the National Lacrosse League, playing out of Gas South Arena. The Swarm moved to Gwinnett in 2016 and won the NLL championship title in 2017.

The Georgia Gwinnett College Grizzlies are located in Lawrenceville and are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The athletic program had its inaugural season in 2012-2013 and includes men’s and women’s soccer and tennis teams, as well as baseball and softball programs.
