Gwinnett is home to two of metro Atlanta’s premier minor league teams – the AAA Gwinnett Braves, the Atlanta Braves affiliate, and the Atlanta Gladiators, the ECHL minor league hockey team affiliated with the Boston Bruins. The Gwinnett Braves play at Coolray Field, while the Gladiators thrill the crowds at the Infinite Energy Arena.
The Georgia Swarm, Gwinnett’s new professional lacrosse team, is a part of the National Lacrosse League and just completed their first season at the Infinite Energy Arena.
Georgia Gwinnett College, located in Lawrenceville, is a part of the NAIA and is home to six collegiate teams.
