Congrats to Brookwood High School‘s, Will Banfield, for being the Gwinnett Sports Commission player of the week!

Will is a junior, catcher, pitcher, and sometimes first baseman on the Bronco’s baseball team and a Vanderbilt commit. He leads the team in hits, extra-base hits, batting average, on-base percentage, slugging average, and second in RBI’s. Most recently, he hit a walk-off three-run home run against Norcross.

Will’s character is spoken of highly by all who have the pleasure of knowing him as he is a mentor and looked up to by many. He is a proud member of the NG3 huddle at Brookwood and the Brookwood Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy. NG3 is a nonprofit character development program for athletes and the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy is a national high school leadership program focused on impact through action. He also volunteers with the Grayson Athletic Association Special Populations and Brookwood High School’s baseball camps.

Will, we wish you the best of luck as you finish off the season and cannot wait to see what you do as a senior. Best of luck at Vanderbilt. We know your coaches, teammates, and parents are so proud of you!
